LIBRARIES IN SKAGIT COUNTY

Last Updated 03/16/2020

Is it storytime or story time? We'll never know, but you can find them all on the Skagit Kid Insider Homepage Events Calendar. Our local libraries are amazing and there is bound to be one near you! They offer FREE programming to everyone in our community and you don't need a library card to attend. Programs include classes and storytimes (yes - I like that one the best) for babies, toddlers, elementary school age kids and teens that are both engaging and educational.

Below we have listed additional services that our local libraries provide to our communities. You may be surprised to know that the libraries have access to online books, music and movies, Microsoft Imagine Academy, Rosetta Stone and more! We've listed the services that each library offers below.

Skagit County libraries have a great program where people can use any of the libraries if they have a card from their home library in the county (Guemes Island Library is not included). You just need to stop by your home library first, so they can give you proof that you are in good standing with the library. You can then use your library card at the rest of the libraries on the list below.

Don't live in city limits? Mount Vernon offers non-residents a 3 month card for $20, Anacrotes for $25 and Burlington for $25.  There are also year long cards available.

During the 2020 school closure due to the Corona Virus we will be listing any changes to library services in bold, italic text.
