Skagit County is ready to CELEBRATE and the 4th of July in Skagit County is the perfect way to celebrate our freedom in Washington State. If you are looking for things to do on the 4th of July in Skagit County, you'll definitely be able to find a fireworks show near you in the list of events below.
In 2021 we have celebrations happening in Sedro-Woolley (including the LOGGERODEO!), Big Lake, Mount Vernon, La Conner, Anacortes and at the Skagit Speedway. Not all of our local traditions are back this year, but we are very grateful for the cities and organizations that are holding celebrations for our families this year.
Sedro-Woolley 4th of July Events & Loggerodeo

The 2021 Sedro-Woolley Loggerodeo is a 4 day celebration and is how Sedro-Woolley celebrates the 4th of July! The schedule of Sedro-Woolley's 4th of July events is listed below.
7/1-7/3 8am-5pm & 7/4 8am-3pm Chainsaw Carving Competition/Quick Carve Auction 5pm daily - 3pm on Sunday
7/3 6pm & 7/4 2pm Loggerrodeo
7/4 9am Beard Contest
7/4 10pm Fireworks (no carnival this year)

Big Lake Fireworks
July 3, 2021
Pull up a chair anywhere around Big Lake and watch the 2021 Big Lake Fireworks Show get started around dark. This is the Big Lake Fire Fighters Association's ANNUAL DISPLAY and it is a fundraiser, so please consider donating. Every year an estimated 40,000 people view the display. Over the years the proceeds from the fireworks show have gone to upgrade fire fighting equipment, provide training and overall support for the Big Lake Fire Department.
Fireworks begin at dusk (10pm-ish).

Mount Vernon Fireworks
July 4, 2021
Mount Vernon's Fabulous 4th of July is all about the Fireworks....a good time for the entire family! This year they will not be providing food and there won't be any bands playing. Please leave BBQs, canopies, fireworks and alcohol at home.
The spectacular firework show begins at dark. Come with your friends and family and enjoy the evening together. There's lots of room to spread out and socially distance.
WHERE: Edgewater Park is located at 600 Behrens-Millett Road just over the West Side Bridge in Mount Vernon across the Skagit River from Downtown Mount Vernon.
WHEN: July 4th - fireworks begin at dark. Don't forget your lawn chair or blanket, and a flashlight to help when leaving the show.

The City of Anacortes will be celebrating July 4th with a firework display and a Patriotic Parade!
Mayor Gere will lead a patriotic program honoring our nation’s 245th year of independence. The Patriotic Parade will begin at 11am at 3rd Street and Commercial Avenue. Parade participants may use the online sign up to register to march or drive in this year’s parade. As a precaution, all participants must refrain from handing out any items to the viewing crowd. This includes candy, beads, literature or advertisements, etc. Your cooperation in keeping this community celebration safe is greatly appreciated.
The firework display will take place on July 4th starting at dusk over Fidalgo Bay.
